This Privacy Policy describes how NVT SaaS (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our WordPress plugin “NVT AI Chatbot – RAG & Live Chat” and our associated SaaS platform.

By installing and using this plugin, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information from Plugin Administrators

When you register or connect the plugin to our service, we collect:

  • Account Information: Your email address and hashed password (for authentication).

  • System Information: Your website URL/Domain and API Key.

  • Website Content (RAG): To provide accurate AI answers, we index the public URLs you submit and the files (PDF, Docx, etc.) you upload via the “Data Sources” tab.

B. Information from Website Visitors (End Users)

When visitors interact with the chat widget on your site, we collect:

  • Chat History: Messages sent between the visitor and the AI/Agent.

  • Contact Information: Name and Phone number (if voluntarily provided via the profile form).

  • Technical Data: Visitor IP address (used strictly for security, rate-limiting, and coarse location detection).

  • Session Data: Browser cookies or LocalStorage data (nvtrag_sid) to maintain chat history across page reloads.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service Provision: To generate AI responses based on your indexed content (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).

  • Live Chat: To facilitate real-time WebSocket connections between visitors and your agents.

  • Billing: To process payments for Pro/Business plans.

  • Improvement: To monitor system health and prevent abuse.

Note: We do not sell your data or your visitors’ data to advertisers.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We utilize trusted third-party services to operate our platform. Data may be shared with them solely for the purpose of providing the service:

  • Payment Processors:

  • AI Providers: We may use third-party LLMs (e.g., OpenAI) to process text and generate answers. Data sent to these providers is not used to train their models.

4. Data Retention

  • Chat Logs: Stored securely on our servers to allow admins to view conversation history. You may request deletion of these logs at any time.

  • Indexed Content: Your website content and uploaded files are stored in vector databases for RAG. If you delete a source in the plugin, it is removed from our index.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit (WebSocket and REST API) and secure storage for API keys and passwords.
